Dr. Suzie Chang M.D., F.A.C.S. is a board-certified plastic surgeon who trained at many of this nation's best institutions.

Her training has taken her from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., where she was awarded her medical degree – followed by training at the #1 ranked plastic surgery training program (by the US News and World Report) at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center - Dallas, TX. Dr. Chang further specialized in fellowship training in the field of Oculoplastic & Aesthetic Surgery with Paces Plastic Surgery/Emory University in Atlanta, GA and obtained a second fellowship training through the AO (Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Osteosynthesegrafen) Foundation - Craniomaxillofacial Trauma Fellowship at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD.  To finish out her specialty training, Dr. Chang devoted time as a visiting fellow in Seoul, South Korea's renowned Gangnam district at the Samsung Plastic Surgery Kangnam Clinic

Dr. Chang’s special interests are cosmetic surgery of the eyelids, face, and body.

After literally traveling the world to complete her plastic surgery training, Dr. Chang filled many positions and compiled unique work experiences before founding the practice of Katy Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery.

After fellowship training, Dr. Chang was appointed as the first female faculty member at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center Department of Plastic Surgery.  Not long afterwards, she was granted fellowship in the American College of Surgeons (F.A.C.S).  In a short time, Dr. Chang was promoted to the position of Section Chief of Plastic Surgery at the Dallas Veterans Affairs Hospital overseeing all of the plastic surgery needs at the VA North Texas Health Care System for several years.

Throughout all of life’s journeys, the roles that Dr. Chang value most are that of mother, wife, daughter, and sister.

Why did you choose plastic surgery as your specialty? – “In the field of medicine, there are numerous conditions where an absolute cure is not available.  Medicine is an honorable field, but far from perfect.  During my education, I found that plastic surgery, often times, provides the patient with a more complete restoration to form and function that many other fields of medicine cannot.  This kind of patient satisfaction is rare to achieve and that is, for me, truly rewarding.”

What is Katy Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery about? – "Katy Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery is a practice built to serve the local community of Katy – hence the name! First, I wanted to create a plastic surgery practice where I (as a plastic surgeon) would want to go to.  A place that provides professional, highly skilled, discrete, medically-safe care – where being a mother and being a woman is fully understood… A practice that does not push the trendy but only recommends tried and true treatments…  A place where you can continue to return to throughout all of the different stages in life for all of your plastic surgery needs. That is what I hope to provide in Katy Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery.”
